Your Passport

from Watch Out Pando! EP by pando

lyrics

Wowee, on their way home westward, the sailors were astonished when they stopped at Cape Verde.
Somehow Wednesday turned to Thursday, not a man among them understood what they heard.
Blimey, what a strange adventure, days are ever longer when you follow the sun.
They lost a day and found out by themselves: the vast Pacific is no lily pond

Hang on to your passport whatever you do, there are dirty old men so be wary of strangers. Don't go in the water if you've had a drink, send me or your mum a text 'cause we worry.

Phewee, all those fruitless journeys trying to find a passage, northeast and northwest.
Tough men sleeping through the gales, whale blubber and seal meat or hard tack at best.
Much more grown up but some things were the same: they missed their women and their babies back home.

Hang on to your passport whatever you do, there are dirty old men so be wary of strangers.
Don't go in the water if you've had a drink, send me or your mum a text 'cause we worry, we worry.
